Each and every line, every single surface of the new E-Class Estate define Mercedes-Benz's claim to modern luxury. Like no other comparable vehicle, the E-Class is also the very embodiment of the automotive luxury class. This is shown by its unique combination of high-level functionality and emotional form language.
One of the most intelligent facets of the automobile – and one of the most elegant silhouettes of the luxury class. The exterior design of the new E-Class Estate blends advanced style and tension-laden dynamism into a vehicle design that is style-defining for the luxury class.
The design combines modern style and dynamism with features typical of its model series. This includes the status-conscious powerful front section, the tension-laden side design, a rear section that emphasises the width and an almost coupé-like roofline. The result is a prestigious, style-defining vehicle design that stands in a most particular manner for the brand values of Mercedes-Benz.
Practical it may be, but the latest E-Class Estate still delivers plenty of driving enjoyment. Agility Control Suspension is standard, with adaptive damping that continuously adjusts to suit the road surface conditions. The result is exceptional ride comfort and precise, agile handling.
9G-TRONIC PLUS 9-speed automatic transmission provides short, accurate gear shifts and extracts maximum performance and efficiency from the Estate’s diesel engine. The E 220 d offers a 0–62 mph time of just 7.7 seconds, returns an impressive 67.3 mpg combined, and emits as little as 109 g/km CO2.
The Estate also features DYNAMIC SELECT, which lets you adjust driving parameters such as transmission, suspension and steering characteristics at the touch of a button. Simply choose from ECO, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, or Individual driving modes.
Like the highly intelligent E-Class Saloon, the E-Class Estate raises the bar in terms of safety, with a strong emphasis on lightening the driver’s workload.
A raft of advanced driver assistance systems includes Active Brake Assist, which can warn you of impending collisions, maximise emergency braking force, and intervene using autonomous braking if required. The system not only detects slower-moving, stopping or stationary vehicles, but can also detect pedestrians crossing the danger zone ahead of the vehicle.
Other standard features include Parking Pilot, which automatically steers the Estate into parking spaces, and Mercedes me connect. This innovative suite of online services offers an emergency call system (eCall), as well as accident recovery, breakdown and maintenance management.
