A low body and sharply raked roofline: These two features lend the new GLE Coupé its characteristic silhouette. In the fascinating interplay with elements that are otherwise characteristic of SUVs, the vehicle impresses with its strikingly expressive proportions.
The rear section of the new GLE Coupé impresses with its spectacular new design: The horizontal lines are particularly evident in the broad lights. Innovative: The licence plate adapter is integrated in a powerful bumper with chrome-look underride guard.
The attractiveness of the side view of the vehicle is thanks to its roof line, sloping gently towards the rear, as well as by its long wheelbase, short overhangs and typical SUV wheel arch linings and side sill panels. The typical Mercedes-Benz lines lend the vehicle a tension-rich dynamism evident even while it is stationary.
The front design is characterised by the radiator grille with the single louvre typical of the Mercedes-Benz Coupés. Also impressive: the bonnet with its striking power domes.

The combination of AIRMATIC air suspension and Adaptive Damping System Plus, our most advanced adaptive damping system, enables remarkably agile handling and response. And to help you maximise the full potential of the GLE Coupé, it’s also equipped with the DYNAMIC SELECT handling control system.
This lets you choose from four driving modes on the GLE 350 d, the modes being COMFORT, SPORT, SLIPPERY and INDIVIDUAL. Or, for an added dynamic ride the GLE 450 AMG adds a fifth driving mode of SPORT+. Each of these adapts the chassis, engine, suspension, and steering systems to alter the driving characteristics.
In COMFORT mode, for example, you’ll enjoy early upshifts and lighter steering, while SPORT mode stiffens and lowers the suspension, with later upshifts for a more athletic drive. Other options include SLIPPERY mode, which optimises performance on low-grip surfaces.
