MSL MERCEDES-BENZ KILCULLEN VOYAGERS SCHOOLS PROGRAMME

20TH DECEMBER 2016

Enda O’Coineen is the first Irish man to take part in the Vendée Globe Race. This is a single handed non-stop around the world race which started in France on the 6th November 2016. The race takes approximately 100 days but many of the adventurers who begin the race don’t finish due to mechanical problems or items breaking on their yachts.

The sailors are on their own so if an item breaks and they can’t fix it themselves there is no assistance from the outside world allowed! This is a very brave endeavour and we are delighted to support Enda in his big adventure.

MSL Mercedes-Benz is sponsoring the “Kilcullen Voyagers Schools Programme”. This is a programme which allows primary schools to track Enda’s travels around the world through live tracking and weekly videos, whilst learning about marine life, geography, the importance of the ocean and much more.

MSL Mercedes-Benz visited St Conleths Primary School and together we Skyped Enda to see how he was getting on, check out the video.

You can track Enda through the below online portal and keep up to date with his movements. We are wishing him the best of luck – so far so good!
