SEAI ELECTRIC VEHICLE GRANT REDUCTION

06th JUNE 2023.

The current maximum grant of €5,000 for privately purchased vehicles by the SEAI is due to be reduced to €3,500 from the 1st July 2023.

We advise potential customers to note that grants approved before the 30th of June will remain at €5,000 and will be valid for 4 months after the approval date.

The Department of Transport have indicated that this move is in an attempt to strategically increase electric vehicle infrastructure and rebalance their support towards improving the quality and quantity of charging points.
